On December 17th, Valorant China and Anti-cheat Expert (ACE) co-hosted the annual launch event "Reset to Zero", inviting Microsoft and Qualcomm Snapdragon to discuss how to create a fairer and purer gaming environment.
At the event, Valorant China and ACE jointly showcased the latest advancements in our collaboration against game cheating. To combat cheat developers, "honeypot" system is lauched, which lures cheat software to attack and records their methods of attack. This system is complemented by a "one-size-fits-one" dynamic encryption approach, applying varying cryptographic algorithms to the client, substantially raising the bar for cheat developers attempting to crack the game's security.
In the ongoing battle against cheating, ACE has bolstered Valorant China with a multi-layered anti-cheat system that safeguards player privacy and fosters a fair and secure gaming environment.
Addressing the proliferation of AI-driven cheats in FPS games, ACE has equipped Valorant China with specialized defenses, incorporating AI into its anti-cheat arsenal to precisely detect and swiftly ban AI cheats.
Additionally, in the face of DMA cheats that have plagued FPS games, ACE and Valorant China have collaborated to form a dedicated task force to counter these threats. By 2024 December 7th, we had successfully intercepted and punished over 100,000 AI cheats and an excess of 130,000 DMA cheats. As a result, AI and DMA cheats have dropped dramatically, leading to a well-maintained environment in Valorant China.
During the event, Valorant and ACE also announced their long-term technical collaboration with Microsoft and Qualcomm Snapdragon to combat cheats and uphold a fair gaming environment.
David Weston, Vice President of enterprise and OS security at Microsoft stated:"Security is our top priority at Microsoft. Microsoft continues to partner with anticheat providers globally to develop, deploy and leverage advanced security technologies within Windows 11 to help ensure a fun and fair environment for all players."
Dave Durnil, Gaming Executive at Snapdragon , expressed: "We are excited that Valorant will be coming to our Snapdragon X Elite platforms in China. Valorant, a world-class PC game played by millions worldwide, is the perfect choice for our first collaboration with ACE team. Combating cheats is a shared responsibility and mission for every professional in the game industry. To join forces with the industry in the fight against "cheats," at this launch event, Valorant China and the ACE team also officially announced the launch of the "Valorant Anti-Cheat Industry Sharing Initiative."
